Last Mage combines spellcrafting and backpack management into a bullet-hell roguelite experience where you play as the Last Mage tasked with exploring dungeons teeming with monsters to uncover the source of a world-shattering disaster. Players can customize their playstyle by selecting and upgrading spells, whether focusing on high damage, rapid missiles, or quick cooldowns, starting each run by choosing a rune that defines their magical approach. The game challenges you to think strategically about inventory management, as backpacks and items come in various shapes and rarities, requiring careful arrangement and experimentation to create the most effective combinations for battle. As you delve deeper into the dungeon, you’ll collect new items and discover how they interact, using experience orbs to trigger powerful crafting reactions that enhance your abilities. Last Mage currently offers two playable characters with unique starting skills, nine spells with over 100 upgrades to mix and match, and four distinct battle maps filled with more than 50 items to find. With numerous crafting recipes to uncover, the game encourages continuous experimentation and mastery of its interconnected systems to survive increasingly difficult encounters and emerge victorious.
