Across the Grooves is an interactive graphic novel set in a magical-realism universe where your choices profoundly shape Alice’s destiny, allowing her to explore alternative futures by altering her past. Alice leads a quiet life in Bordeaux, settled in a long-term relationship with a steady office job and a comfortable apartment. That stability is disrupted when Ulysse, her ex-lover, reenters her world through a mysterious vinyl record sent in the mail. Playing the record transports Alice back into her own past, forcing her to relive pivotal moments and returning to a present transformed by her actions. Driven to restore her life, Alice embarks on a journey across Europe, tracking Ulysse’s path and uncovering the record’s origins, only to find herself on a deeper quest of self-discovery through the parallel realities she unlocks with each spin of the turntable. Hand-crafted with hundreds of detailed, hand-drawn images, Across the Grooves offers a novel-sized adventure that unfolds uniquely with every playthrough.
