A voice calls your name as a long-forgotten WWII-era machine hidden beneath a church basement whirs to life. Through the crackling speaker, a man tasks you with finding a stolen book—only the title is known. Time is running out. This enigmatic device, created by Bletchley Park engineers Cecil Caulderly and Beatrice Dooler, houses a vast archive of obscure books, letters, and journals accumulated over fifty years in a desperate attempt to decode reality itself. As their personal lives unraveled, the machine persisted, preserving secrets waiting to be uncovered. Your mission is to navigate this sprawling digital archive, link its cryptic texts, and unravel the mysteries surrounding its creators. Communicate with the man behind the speaker to understand your role and ultimately destroy the pivotal book at the heart of the machine before it’s too late. TR-49 invites players into a richly layered narrative deduction experience, blending exploration with dynamic audio drama. Deduce connections within the archive to locate hidden sources, piece together stories, and expose the intertwined fates of the authors and the machine’s creators. The game features immersive performances by Rebekah McLoughlin, Paul Warren, and Phillipe Bosher, complemented by an original soundtrack composed by Laurence Chapman. Instructions

- Once the game is finished downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to TR-49.zip” (To do this you will need 7-Zip, which you can get here, or you can use the built in windows extractor).
- Double click inside the TR-49 folder and run the setup application. Accept the EULA, and install the game. Then, launch the game through the desktop shortcut.
