About Wretch: Divine Ascent
Wretch: Divine Ascent is a dark medieval-themed 1v1 tactical auto battler developed with Unreal Engine, inspired by Backpack Battles. Players dive straight into strategic backpack management, purchasing moves, equipment, and accessories from the shop to craft powerful combos. Items can be fused to create unique, special gear unavailable for direct purchase, encouraging experimentation and careful planning. Each character type—Knight, Ronin, Assassin, and the newly introduced WuJiang—offers distinct playstyles and animations, with WuJiang wielding a long glaive and clad in battle armor, ready to dominate the battlefield. Success hinges on selecting complementary moves and equipment, as some abilities counter one another, making combo synergy and timing critical for breaking guards and launching follow-up attacks. Players engage in up to 10 intense battles per match against real opponents, with no waiting required to find an online challenger. Victories unlock the opportunity to face top contenders on the global leaderboard, including a 10-Win Honor ranking that fuels competitive progression. The current version features four characters and over 250 items, equipment, and moves, providing a deep tactical experience that rewards mastery of item fusion and strategic planning. With ongoing updates planned, Wretch: Divine Ascent promises a continually evolving competitive arena where precision and adaptability are the keys to divine victory.
