About Venture to the Vile
Venture to the Vile is a spooky 2.5D Metroidvania set in the strange town of Rainybrook, which has been overrun by a mysterious entity known as the Vile. Absorb the Vile’s powers, fight through treacherous grounds that were once your home, and find your lost friend Ella before it’s too late!
- 2.5D ACTION-PACKED PLATFORMER: Jump, swing, and fight your way through dangerous enemies as you explore a carefully crafted 2.5D world full of puzzles to solve and secrets to discover. Unlock new abilities to overcome the Vile’s monstrosities — even if it means losing your humanity. Every new ability helps you uncover new dynamic areas, find new unique bosses, 2.5D environments to explore, and be rewarded with upgrades as you go.
- A STORY-RICH WORLD TO EXPLORE: Explore the quaint seaside town of Rainybrook which has been infested with the Vile’s monsters. Meet the good yet peculiar townsfolk, help them with various quests to discover their stories, and uncover clues that might lead to your lost friend Ella. The ending of this story is up to you – will you solve the mystery and best the Vile? Whether it’s helping the townsfolk with unusual sidequests or discovering hidden secrets in the world around, there’s more than meets the eye in the haunting and mysterious Rainybrook.
- TAKE ON ENEMIES LIKE YOU’VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE: Are you prepared to take on the monsters of the Vile? Every boss fight is unique and will require the use of everything you’ve learned so far. Whether you’re taking on a Kraken on the ghost ship or being chased through the hospital by a giant hare, you’ll need to use all your abilities and upgrades to your advantage to best every new enemy.

Unlockable outfits shape the way you play the game, from outfits that increase difficulty to others that change the amount of loot you’re likely to encounter. Instructions

- Once the game is finished downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to Venture to the Vile v1.0.1.zip” (To do this you will need 7-Zip, which you can get here, or you can use the built in windows extractor).
- Double click inside the Venture to the Vile v1.0.1 folder and run the setup application. Accept the EULA, and install the game. Then, launch the game through the desktop shortcut.
