About Toward The Ice

It was just another day for the princess, hunting alone in the wilderness, unaware that her younger brother, the prince, had secretly followed her. Her world shattered when she heard his screams as a band of trolls captured him. Overpowered and helpless, she watched from a distance as the trolls carried him through a winding route across the Dwarven lands to their mountain cave. Determined, she managed to track their path but now requires your aid to defeat the monstrous foes and rescue her brother before time runs out and the trolls feast on him. The urgency is palpable—will you rise to become the heroes she desperately needs? Toward The Ice is a classic first-person, party-based dungeon crawler RPG featuring grid-based movement, turn-based combat, and random encounters. Navigate diverse zones filled with monsters, traps, treasure, and quests as you build a party of six from ten unique classes, including the new Valkyrie, Skald, Berserker, and Runecaller, or jump in quickly with a pregenerated group. Explore more than a dozen maps while gathering items and equipment and learning the strengths and weaknesses of your enemies. The game boasts an original MIDI-style soundtrack by Bloodless Mushroom and serves as a standalone sequel to Into The Inferno, Navigating The Labyrinth, and Crossing The Sands, welcoming new players without requiring prior experience.
