After a psychologist visit goes terribly wrong, you find yourself trapped in the mind of Fletcher Howie Jr., a game developer on the brink of physical and emotional burnout during the final stages of an intense project. The Prisoning: Fletcher’s Quest is a metroidvania-lite steeped in anxiety and based on a true story, inviting players to help Fletcher escape his mental prison and save the day. Featuring upgrades, weapons, bosses, and enemies, the game blends tight platforming mechanics with a procedurally generated world composed of a vast array of unique rooms that change every session, ensuring a fresh experience each time. Accompanied by a banging chiptune soundtrack from the legendary Dunderpatrullen, the pixel art style is vibrant and detailed, including full frontal pixel nudity, adding an irreverent and daring edge to the gameplay.
