About The Man in the Fields
The Man in the Fields is an ancient ritual that rewards the player with wealth and safety. During the ritual every door and item that can be opened in the player’s house will be open. The player must close everything before midnight to prevent The Man in the Fields from getting in. Even if there is the smallest box left open, it will be able to get in and take away something you can’t get ahead without.
- The Herald: During the ritual you may or may not encounter a shadowy man in your house. He is not The Man in the Fields, he is a herald.
- But heed this warning: DO NOT LOOK INTO THE FIELDS! If you do, you will see a man with elongated limbs starting to move towards your house. You must lock yourself in a safe room with a crucifix, before it finds a way in.
Key features:
- Unique Locations: The game features 5 locations that are different every time you play. Don’t go looking for items in the same places.
- Multiple Endings: The ritual can end in many different ways, some of which are more fortunate than others.
- Challenge: A race against time while possibly avoiding the Herald makes the ritual challenging. The reward you get is not a straightforward thing.
- Strategy: Find the best ways to use your equipment and the safe room.
Instructions

- Once the game is finished downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to The Man in the Fields v1.0.zip” (To do this you will need 7-Zip, which you can get here, or you can use the built in windows extractor).
- Double click inside the The Man in the Fields v1.0 folder and run the setup application. Accept the EULA, and install the game. Then, launch the game through the desktop shortcut.
