In this unique simulation sandbox, you take on the role of a malevolent overlord, orchestrating chaos in procedurally generated fantasy realms. Drawing inspiration from classics like Rimworld and Dwarf Fortress, the game invites you to craft stories filled with both dark humor and tragedy as you manipulate the lives of your subjects. You can select from three distinct overlord archetypes, each offering a unique approach to spreading mayhem—whether that means outright destruction or more subtle forms of corruption. - Once the game is finished downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to Ruinarch v1.2.zip” (To do this you will need 7-Zip, which you can get here, or you can use the built in windows extractor).
- Double click inside the Ruinarch v1.2 folder and run the setup application. Accept the EULA, and install the game. Then, launch the game through the desktop shortcut.
