In Retro Relics, you step into the shoes of your late Grandpa, a dedicated metal detectorist, and embark on a relaxing yet engaging treasure hunt across diverse natural landscapes. Equipped with your trusty metal detector, you are free to explore lush forests, ancient ruins, dusty fields, and sandy beaches without time constraints. Discover a wide array of relics spanning from the Bronze Age to modern times, including coins, buttons, buckles, jewelry, military and religious artifacts, and much more. Along the way, encounter various animals and assist local townsfolk by retrieving their lost belongings, such as a sassy old lady’s cherished item or a confused hunter’s misplaced gear. With over 150 unique relics to collect, you can build and customize your personal museum to showcase your rarest and most beautiful finds, while also contributing to nature by cleaning up trash and restoring wildlife habitats. At your cozy home base, manage your growing collection, upgrade your gear, and accept new missions through an in-game email system. The game’s rich, open-ended gameplay invites you to roam freely and immerse yourself in the peaceful yet rewarding experience of metal detecting. Developed by solo creator Jonas, a passionate metal detector enthusiast from Germany, many of the relics featured in Retro Relics are inspired by real-life finds, adding authenticity to your adventure. Once the game is finished downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to Retro Relics v1.1.zip” (To do this you will need 7-Zip, which you can get here, or you can use the built in windows extractor).
Double click inside the Retro Relics v1.1 folder and run the setup application. Accept the EULA, and install the game. Then, launch the game through the desktop shortcut.
