No Retreat! The Russian Front is a strategic wargame set on the Eastern Front of World War II, digitally adapting the acclaimed board game designed by Carl Paradis. It captures the epic clash between Nazi Germany and Communist Russia with a player-friendly scope and accessible complexity. Featuring only 70 army- and front-sized counters and low stacking limits, the game offers a fast-paced yet realistic experience that rewards strategic and offensive play. The compact map and moderate complexity enable quick onboarding and smooth gameplay, blending classic hex-based wargaming with modern card-driven mechanics. Players will command vast maneuvers, encirclements, and exploitation across the steppes and forests of Russia, witnessing the evolving strength of the Red Army and the gradual decline of the Wehrmacht over the brutal four-year campaign. The game’s turn-based system unfolds over six historical scenarios and a full campaign spanning 1941 to 1945, with each turn representing two months of time and each hex covering 100 kilometers. Players manage armies composed of mechanized infantry, tanks, and fortifications, supported by a deck of 55 event cards per major power that influence actions like reorganizing, counterblowing, and improving forces. The gameplay features asymmetric combat tables, terrain and weather effects, and an intuitive on-screen guide to assist players through the phases of draw, organization, movement, combat, and supply. Available for solo play, AI opponents, and multiplayer across platforms, No Retreat!
