This game offers a nostalgic yet fresh take on classic arcade adventures by merging two beloved Dungeons & Dragons titles into one epic package. As a beat 'em up RPG, it invites up to four players to select their unique character classes and dive into thrilling battles against mythical creatures, employing a mix of melee, ranged, and magical attacks.
What sets it apart is the enhanced online experience powered by GGPO, which allows for seamless drop-in/drop-out co-op play. The introduction of House Rules offers players the chance to tweak the gameplay, such as enabling infinite item durability or engaging in time-pressured enemy rushes. A new Challenge System adds depth by rewarding players with Vault Coins for completing tasks, which can be spent on unlockables in the Vault.
