CYAN BRAIN plunges players into a haunting sci-fi side-scrolling action-shooter set in an unknown time and place, where a nameless girl awakens amid a colossal ruin overrun by deranged machines. With no memories or blessings to guide her, she must confront relentless despair and an unending cycle of violent combat, her resolve flickering like a wavering blue light amid the chaos. The tolling bells of the Church—a mysterious organization that once transformed her into a living weapon—resonate through this shattered world, stripping away the last vestiges of flesh and mind as reality itself begins to warp. Along her journey through this nightmarish landscape, she encounters two souls, reflections of each other’s shadows, challenging her to make the ultimate devotion in a dark fable woven with existence, annihilation, terror, and pleasure. Gameplay in CYAN BRAIN offers visceral shooting action enhanced by fear-inducing executions, mountable heavy weapons, and full-screen animated cinematics that immerse players in its brutal universe. Combat is intensified by realistic blood-splatter effects and progressive outfit damage as the protagonist takes hits, while unique execution animations and collectible Death Cards reward players upon defeat. The game features 16 weapons, 32 enemies and traps, 34 execution and H-animations, 36 Death Cards, and 3 full-screen HCGs, all accessible in an in-game gallery. Players can increase hydration by consuming food, automatically generating healing items at full hydration, and must strategically manage ammo, switching to melee when necessary. Saving the game restores the protagonist’s clothing, balancing the game’s intense adult themes. Guided by fragmented memories and enigmatic companions, the girl’s quest reveals the truth behind the devastated world and the fate awaiting her.
