In BRAVELY DEFAULT II, players are drawn into the continent of Excillant, a land once protected by the power of elemental Crystals tied to Fire, Water, Wind, and Earth. These Crystals hold immense power that, if unleashed recklessly, could bring devastation and calamity across the world. The story follows four new Heroes of Light: Seth, a young sailor who arrives in Excillant; Gloria, the exiled princess of the fallen kingdom of Musa seeking to reclaim her realm’s stolen Crystals; Adelle, a mercenary bodyguard; and Elvis, a scholar on a quest for a rare asterisk to unlock his master’s final spellbook. Together, they embark on a journey to restore balance and prevent disaster, navigating a rich narrative filled with intrigue, fate, and the struggle to protect the world’s fragile harmony. The game features a classic turn-based battle system enhanced by the innovative Brave and Default mechanic, allowing players to strategically manage Brave Points (BP) to unleash multiple actions or conserve energy for future turns. Each character can equip both a primary and secondary job class, combining unique abilities to craft versatile or specialized roles suited to your tactical preferences. Progression is marked by confronting powerful “asterisk bearers,” whose defeat grants new jobs and expands your party’s potential.
