Blocky Dungeon is a roguelike game fused with puzzle elements that challenges players to both build and explore dungeons simultaneously. You place blocks to create paths for the knight, guiding him through the ever-changing dungeon layout. However, the dungeon map has limited space—if it fills up, the game ends. Strategic placement is key: completing a full line with blocks allows the knight to “mark” that line, causing it to vanish and freeing up space for further block placement. The dungeons are fraught with danger, as enemies spawn on the blocks you place and immediately target the knight. Clearing lines that contain enemies removes them quickly, but relying solely on this tactic has consequences. The knight is cursed, and failing to defeat enemies directly empowers this curse, forcing players to carefully balance combat strategy and resource management while observing enemy behavior. As the adventure progresses, enemies grow stronger, requiring sharper tactics and timing. The knight can leverage a unique skill to turn the tide: executing a Perfect Strike—defeating enemies with just the right amount of damage—or marking lines for removal grants temporary power-ups. Maintaining these streaks is essential for overcoming tougher foes and bosses.
