Backmooms is a first-person adventure game that plunges you into an eerie, surreal environment where reality blurs into repetition and mystery. While out shopping, you suddenly find yourself trapped in a maze of identical yellow rooms that feel unnervingly familiar yet alien. As you navigate this labyrinthine space, a mysterious monster begins to pursue you, adding a layer of tension and urgency to your exploration. Your goal is to uncover clues and find a way to escape this strange place, all while piecing together the unsettling story that unfolds silently around you. The gameplay centers on immersive exploration and discovery, presented as a walking simulator where events trigger through your interactions with various objects. Notably, the game features no text or dialogue, relying instead on atmosphere and environmental storytelling inspired by the internet meme known as the “Backrooms.” Among the intriguing elements is the presence of a creature who sleeps as part of her job and a monster driven by a bizarre desire to become a “mother.” With an estimated playtime ranging from 15 to 60 minutes, Backmooms offers a compact yet intense experience. Double click inside the Backmooms folder and run the setup application. Accept the EULA, and install the game. Then, launch the game through the desktop shortcut.
