About Astrox Imperium
Astrox Imperium is a single-player, open-world space game designed to capture the essence of classic titles like Homeworld and EVE while offering a fresh and customizable experience. It combines familiar core mechanics such as mining, crafting, trading, refining, fleets, combat, exploration, and survival into a seamless gameplay loop that is simple to grasp yet rich enough to engage players over many hours. The game’s universe is procedurally generated with adjustable parameters, allowing players to tailor the pace and complexity to their liking—whether that means a slow, grind-heavy progression or a fast, action-packed sandbox. Contract missions involving combat with raiders and pirates add dynamic challenges to an otherwise relaxed environment, while intelligent AI and a broad range of skills, ships, drones, and factions deepen the strategic elements. The interface takes inspiration from RTS and FPS games, providing intuitive controls for piloting ships and managing fleets, alongside full 3D camera options and life support systems that expand exploration possibilities. With over 100 unique maps to explore and 18 factions whose reputations influence gameplay, Astrox Imperium offers a richly populated universe filled with stations, secrets, and resources. Players can build and command fleets of up to ten mercenary ships, construct stations, and automate drone operations to generate passive income and open new services. - Once the game is finished downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to Astrox Imperium v0.157.zip” (To do this you will need 7-Zip, which you can get here, or you can use the built in windows extractor).
- Double click inside the Astrox Imperium v0.157 folder and run the setup application. Accept the EULA, and install the game. Then, launch the game through the desktop shortcut.
