Players assume the role of Blank, a newcomer to the Duel Server—a mysterious Layer within the Systems where all conflicts are resolved through high-stakes card battles. As you climb the Server Ranks, you’ll face off against the Shadowed, a secretive organization with unclear but likely sinister motives. While the game features recurring characters and nods to the first installment, prior knowledge of Anode Heart is not required to enjoy the fresh narrative and gameplay. With an isometric Gameboy/PSX aesthetic, Layer Null offers a unique experience that reimagines the card game mini-game from Anode Heart into a full-fledged title, complete with rebalanced card sets, refined rules, and 10 new booster packs to enhance your deck-building strategy. Layer Null introduces over 500 collectible cards and 12 unique levels featuring challenging card bosses, alongside a tournament ranking system designed to test your skills as you strive to become the top card master on the Server. In addition to battling through cards, players can collect Tama monster DNA, adding depth to the gameplay. The game supports local and direct connection PvP, enabling competitive play with friends.
