About Angry Penguin

Angry Penguin is a challenging platformer inspired by the classic 3D games of the Nintendo 64, PS1, and Dreamcast era, combined with the notoriously frustrating titles found on the Steam store. In this unique adventure, you control an unusually angry penguin on a mission to recover his scattered eggs across a mysterious island. Unlike typical reasons for anger, our protagonist’s fury stems from his desperate search, and luckily, he’s equipped with a boating license to navigate the treacherous terrain. Each level presents progressively tougher trials, demanding precision and patience as you uncover the game’s many secrets. For speedrunning enthusiasts, Angry Penguin includes an integrated timer to track your best runs without the need for external tools like LiveSplit, though advanced tricks like BLJ are absent (or so it seems). The first solo map, The Abandoned Island, sets the stage for this intense experience, with more maps and gameplay modes planned for future updates. Additionally, a multiplayer mode is on the horizon, though development is a solo effort, ensuring steady but careful progress. With its nostalgic visuals, punishing difficulty, and quirky protagonist, Angry Penguin offers a fresh yet familiar challenge for fans of retro-inspired platformers.

Instructions

• Wait 5 seconds and click on the blue ‘download now’ button. We recommend using a download manager for faster download speeds. (You can use FDM which is free here, or any other download manager).
• Once the game is finished downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to Angry Penguin v1.1b.zip” (To do this you will need 7-Zip, which you can get here, or you can use the built in windows extractor).
• Double click inside the Angry Penguin v1.1b folder and run the setup application. Accept the EULA, and install the game. Then, launch the game through the desktop shortcut.
