About Curse of Resthaven
Step into a haunting world where a cursed island settlement holds the key to a gripping mystery and survival. This game combines elements of gothic investigation, strategy, and roguelite gameplay, immersing you in the eerie atmosphere of Resthaven just as your niece goes missing amid an impending disaster. The time-loop mechanic creates a unique rhythm, where each failure provides valuable knowledge and upgrades to help you navigate the tangled web of suspicion among the townsfolk.
As you balance the colony's needs with your quest for answers, you'll interact with a diverse cast of voiced characters, discover contradictions in their tales, and enhance local businesses to ensure survival. The card-based expedition system adds depth to your adventures, as you build decks from resources and allies to tackle branching events with a mix of strategy and luck. With its striking hand-drawn visuals and interconnected systems that unravel the mystery through repeated play, this game offers a rich narrative experience. It's perfect for fans who appreciate thoughtful storytelling and complex gameplay, similar to titles like Disco Elysium or Hades.
