Catching fish is only the beginning in Scale the Depths. Cast your line, hunt for the perfect catch, carefully scale it, and serve it to a variety of unique customers while turning your earnings into better gear. As you upgrade your rods, hooks, bags, and scaling tools, you’ll unlock new boats and cosmetics, allowing your tiny robot fishmonger to explore deeper and stranger waters. Each improvement pushes you further into the depths and further from anything resembling a normal fishing job. The game features four distinct fishing spots inspired by real-world locations, from Loch Ness to the Outer Banks and Point Nemo, each with its own atmosphere, fish species, hidden paths, puzzles, treasures, and secrets waiting beneath the surface. Your customers are far from ordinary, ranging from cute wild animals like otters and axolotls to mythical beings inspired by folklore, including legends such as Nessie and Kelpie. Every customer has their own personality, appetite, and favorite fish, so learning their preferences can earn you generous tips—while serving poorly will not go unnoticed. Beyond fishing, you’ll uncover hidden treasures, collectible artifacts, secret passages, environmental puzzles, and cryptic messages that gradually reveal why this tiny robot is so dedicated to fishing. Progress involves not only bigger numbers but also unlocking better tools, customizing your boat, and dressing up your fishmonger in style, because if you’re going to prepare fish for ancient beings from the deep, you might as well do it with flair.
