About Ratcheteer DX
Beneath a frozen surface ravaged by an Impact Winter, humanity lies dormant beneath layers of ice and earth. You awaken as a young apprentice mechanic in the dark, discovering that the Power Plant and Water Treatment Plant have both gone offline, leaving the Cryo Colony in grave danger. What begins as a simple mission to retrieve your mentor’s wrench quickly evolves into an expansive journey through winding caverns and across the vast Snowcean above. Along the way, you will encounter friends, foes, and strangers in need of rescue, forging your path in a world filled with mystery and peril. In Ratcheteer DX, you’ll master eight unique tools, each unlocking new abilities and routes for exploration. Starting with the Crank Lantern to illuminate your path and the Wrench Sword to fend off lurking threats, you’ll soon be bounding, drilling, gliding, stomping, and dashing through over 250 rooms spanning six diverse regions and dungeons. This deluxe edition reimagines the original black-and-white Playdate release in full color, featuring a CD-quality stereo soundtrack and support for ten languages. With six challenging bosses, multiple visual modes including Pea Soup green and high contrast black-and-white, and an optional secret boss rush time trial, Ratcheteer DX offers a rich, immersive experience that combines retro charm with modern enhancements.

- Once the game is finished downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to Ratcheteer DX v1.0.3.zip” (To do this you will need 7-Zip, which you can get here, or you can use the built in windows extractor).
- Double click inside the Ratcheteer DX v1.0.3 folder and run the setup application. Accept the EULA, and install the game. Then, launch the game through the desktop shortcut.
