About Ground Zero
Ground Zero is a retro survival horror set in post-apocalyptic South Korea, where a devastating meteor impact has wiped out the nation. Two months after the catastrophe, as dust and lightning storms begin to subside and the air becomes breathable, an elite Korean operative and her Canadian partner are dispatched to investigate the eerie, fog-covered remains of Busan. Players will face terrifying monsters mutated by the fallout, lurking in dark corners of the ruined city. The game invites exploration of a beautifully rendered, devastated urban landscape, from shoreline towns and ancient temples to the heart of the city itself. As the mystery unfolds, players must uncover the truth behind the meteor’s strange growths and the corruption spreading through what little life remains. Combat in Ground Zero requires mastery of an expert soldier’s arsenal, combining firearms with martial abilities such as shooting, stabbing, kicking, and countering. Cleaner kills reward players with Genome Points, which can be exchanged for powerful gear upgrades, encouraging skillful play. The game challenges players with massive, horrifying bosses that escalate the stakes in Busan’s devastated core. - Once the game is finished downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to Ground Zero.zip” (To do this you will need 7-Zip, which you can get here, or you can use the built in windows extractor).
- Double click inside the Ground Zero folder and run the setup application. Accept the EULA, and install the game. Then, launch the game through the desktop shortcut.
