About Dark Moon

Dark Moon is a survival strategy game where time relentlessly works against you as you navigate the treacherous lunar surface with the Moon’s electronics crippled. Tasked as a member of the Engineering Council sent by Moon Shell to oversee a mining system, your mission changes drastically when a massive solar storm devastates Earth’s electronics and threatens the Moon with lethal sunlight. The Sun’s radiance destroys everything it touches, forcing you to avoid the light at all costs and embrace the darkness as your only refuge. Your base of operations, the Mechaplex, a giant engineering vehicle, serves not only as your shelter but also as your escape vessel. You must manage your crew, gather resources, and continually move forward to survive this unyielding threat. Each playthrough offers a unique, non-linear experience shaped by unpredictable events, terrain, and encounters with other survivors who may join your convoy—though their loyalty is never guaranteed. Utilize drones to scout obstacles and strategically collect minerals to improve your chances of survival. Develop new buildings atop the Mechaplex, research advanced technologies, and enhance your crew’s abilities to better gather resources or increase your convoy’s speed to evade the deadly sunlight. Your decisions carry significant weight, impacting crew relationships and morale; choosing to help or abandon survivors, or managing rivalries within your group, can lead to cooperation or revolt with serious consequences. Dark Moon challenges you to balance survival, trust, and strategy in a hostile environment where the light is your enemy and the darkness your salvation.

Once the game is finished downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to Dark Moon v1.02.zip” (To do this you will need 7-Zip, which you can get here, or you can use the built in windows extractor).
Double click inside the Dark Moon v1.02 folder and run the setup application. Accept the EULA, and install the game. Then, launch the game through the desktop shortcut.
