Apocalypse Express is an action management roguelike set in a gritty post-apocalyptic world where players take control of a train and its crew, navigating endless waves of hostile enemies while maintaining and upgrading various train components. Emerging from the safety of a lifelong shelter, the player embarks on a perilous journey through the wasteland, driven by the dream of witnessing the outside world firsthand and mapping the remnants of a lost civilization. Intense and fast-paced, gameplay demands constant multitasking—extinguishing fires, gathering resources, and fending off attacks—to keep the train operational. Success requires quick thinking and adaptability, as it’s impossible to manage every threat perfectly, ensuring that no two runs feel the same. Central to the experience are the train’s modules, each providing distinctive abilities tailored to different playstyles.
