About Mask of Soul

Mask of Soul is a 2D metroidvania action-adventure that follows Cheong-oh Chasa, a gatekeeper of the Underworld, as he hunts escaped spirits amid the chaos caused by the collapsing boundary between the Underworld and the Living World. Players will explore twisted regions and face awakened demons beneath the ominous Red Moon, engaging in precise parry-based combat that requires reading enemy attacks and countering with perfect timing. The game’s combat system revolves around unique skills tied to mask switching, where various spirit masks collected throughout the journey grant distinct abilities, stats, and action motions. This strategic gameplay encourages experimentation with mask combinations to overcome specific bosses and environmental challenges, all set within an oriental dark fantasy world inspired by traditional Korean mythology. The richly detailed world of Mask of Soul offers deep exploration in classic metroidvania style, with new areas and secrets unlocked as players acquire different masks and abilities. Each of the four regions features intense boss battles, including mid-bosses and main bosses that demand mastery of patterns, speeds, and timing through parrying to break their defenses. • Once the game is finished downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to Mask of Soul v2026.04.03.zip” (To do this you will need 7-Zip, which you can get here, or you can use the built in windows extractor).
• Double click inside the Mask of Soul v2026.04.03 folder and run the setup application. Accept the EULA, and install the game. Then, launch the game through the desktop shortcut.
