About Storebound

Storebound is a 1-3 player co-op puzzle horror game set within an accursed megastore where teamwork and quick thinking are essential to escape before lurking horrors trap you forever. The game unfolds across multiple episodes that weave into a larger narrative, currently offering Episodes 1 to 4 with an average playtime of 3-4 hours depending on difficulty and puzzle-solving speed. Additional free episodes will be added throughout Early Access to expand the story and gameplay. Players must search the sprawling mall for items and clues, using proximity voice chat to coordinate and piecing together the store’s twisted logic. Communication is key, whether calling out code sequences from different departments or guiding teammates through mazes via walkie-talkies, but caution is necessary as the environment grows more hostile after hours. When the lights go out, the store’s malevolent forces come alive, hunting for shoppers who need “assistance.” Players must cut communications to stay silent, hide in vents, and avoid making noise to evade the mall’s traps and aberrations that prey on the mind, threatening sanity and trust among friends. Flashlights provide limited protection, and finding fuses to restore power grants brief safety. The game combines immersive 3D audio and a sanity system that challenges players to maintain control as the mall’s nightmarish atmosphere distorts reality. With randomized item and obstacle placement, multiple difficulty levels, and a progression system unlocking new abilities, Storebound offers a chilling and replayable experience where the final price for survival may be your very soul.
