In “Winnie’s Hole,” you take on the role of a virus navigating the complex interior of Winnie’s body, capturing cells to evolve and unlock new mutations and actions. By refining your primitive viral form, you gain powerful passive effects that enhance your survival capabilities. The game features randomly generated worlds where you strategically place virus blocks to spread through your host’s body, discovering new cells and making gut decisions that shape your adventure. Collect valuable resources to unlock abilities and evolve your virus blocks, creating potent combinations for battle. The unique gameplay replaces traditional roguelite maps with a strategic, turn-based building system using tetromino-like virus blocks that you can reshape and evolve as you progress. Combat in “Winnie’s Hole” is dynamic and fast-paced, centered around activating your host’s brain through turn-based battles where multiple actions are played in a single move. Each turn, your actions are randomly dealt to the Brain board, requiring careful placement of your block shapes to trigger powerful combos. As you adapt to the limitations of your host, you push the boundaries of what it can become, evolving through each run by unlocking new perks, mutations, and virus strains.
