About Factory Planner
Factory Planner is a card-based strategy and simulation game that challenges you to build and optimize your own factory from the ground up by combining various card types, managing resources, and fine-tuning production lines. Each card serves a distinct purpose—whether gathering materials, producing goods, distributing power, or enhancing efficiency—and must be strategically placed to form seamless production chains. Managing solid, liquid, and power connections is critical; these connections snap at 90° angles and can be adjusted or rearranged on the fly, but a single misstep can halt your entire operation. Engineer cards add another layer of depth by boosting efficiency, unlocking new recipes, or reducing energy consumption, with their effects kicking in after production cycles. Power management is central to gameplay, requiring you to generate energy using thermal generators and carefully balance supply with demand using splitters and mergers, while storage units demand precise input-output coordination to avoid system jams. Beyond production mechanics, Factory Planner offers a rich sandbox experience that lets you experiment freely with factory layouts and automation strategies at your own pace. Starting with basic materials like wood and iron, you gradually unlock advanced resources such as sulfur and uranium, eventually scaling up to high-tech factories powered by nuclear energy. The game’s crafting and upgrade systems allow you to improve existing cards or craft new ones to expand your factory’s capabilities. Real-time monitoring and an alert system keep you informed of critical issues like full storage, missing materials, or power failures, enabling you to react quickly and maintain smooth operations. With no enemies or time pressure, the focus remains purely on thoughtful planning, resource management, and building the most efficient industrial empire possible.

- Once the game is finished downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to Factory Planner v1.0.9.zip” (To do this you will need 7-Zip, which you can get here, or you can use the built in windows extractor).
- Double click inside the Factory Planner v1.0.9 folder and run the setup application. Accept the EULA, and install the game. Then, launch the game through the desktop shortcut.
