About Betrayer

Betrayer is a first-person action adventure set in the New World at the dawn of the 17th century. In 1604, you voyage from England anticipating to join a struggling Virginia colony, only to discover a land drained of color and life, haunted by ghosts and mysteries. As you traverse expansive wilderness, you must unravel the fate of the vanished settlers and native tribes by piecing together clues while facing corrupted Conquistadors and ravenous shadows. The game challenges you to explore vast open environments filled with danger and hidden secrets, blending exploration, survival, and stealth to uncover the tragic history of this doomed settlement and seek out any survivors. Armed with early 17th-century weapons like muskets, bows, crossbows, and tomahawks, you can upgrade your arsenal for increased lethality and range. Whether you prefer to charge into battle or pick off foes quietly, Betrayer’s novel movement-based stealth system allows you to hide in plain sight or use environmental elements such as wind to mask your footsteps. Additionally, you can equip ability-enhancing Charms that boost health, movement speed, or stealth, tailoring gameplay to your style. The game’s default monochrome visual style heightens tension and eeriness, but color and contrast settings can be customized to suit player preferences. Instructions

• Once the game is finished downloading, right click the .zip file and click on “Extract to Betrayer v1.9.6844.2.zip” (To do this you will need 7-Zip, which you can get here, or you can use the built in windows extractor).
• Double click inside the Betrayer v1.9.6844.2 folder and run the setup application. Accept the EULA, and install the game. Then, launch the game through the desktop shortcut.
