APICO is a charming and laid-back beekeeping simulation that invites players to leave behind the daily grind and return to their family home in the vibrant world of Port APICO. Set across lush, diverse biomes, the game blends resource gathering, biology, and engaging beekeeping minigames inspired by both real-life and fantastical apiculture and floriculture. Players can rediscover lost bee species, cross-breed over 45 unique bees, and craft specialized habitats to support solitary bees. Alongside collecting and caring for their buzzing friends, players can also catch butterflies with unique effects and produce a variety of beekeeping products like honey and Apicola to sell. The gameplay progression is driven by unique crafting and minigames, encouraging exploration and conservation as players help repopulate the islands with endangered species while uncovering the forgotten secrets of the APICO archipelago. The game supports cooperative play with up to four players online, allowing friends to experience the relaxing world of beekeeping together. For those who have completed the main content, APICO offers modding options to extend the gameplay experience. A free demo is available, providing access to the first 15 species and an introduction to the mechanics, though demo saves do not carry over to the full game.
