About Neon Inferno

Neon Inferno is a hybrid side-scroller and gallery-shooter set in a dystopian New York City where warring factions fight for control of the urban battleground. You step into the shoes of an assassin working for the Family, a notorious crime syndicate determined to eliminate rivals and dominate the city’s underworld. Featuring beautifully crafted pixel art and an evocative cyberpunk soundtrack, Neon Inferno delivers a stylish and modern 2D action experience. Players can choose between two assassins, Angelo Morano or Mariana Vitti, each equipped with a versatile arsenal of weapons and upgrades to blast, deflect, and slice through waves of enemies as they battle through chaotic streets and neon-lit environments. The gameplay innovates by allowing attacks in both the foreground and background, adding depth and strategy to the classic run-and-gun formula. Utilize “Bullet Time” to deflect enemy projectiles and commandeer vehicles for high-speed chases, enhancing the intensity of each mission. Players can tailor their experience by selecting difficulty levels or attempt the challenge of a 1-credit-clear Arcade Mode. Cooperative play doubles the carnage as two players join forces to expand the Family’s reign across the city.
