About Jurassic Park: Trespasser
Jurassic Park: Trespasser is a first-person action-adventure game released in 1998 as an ambitious follow-up to the blockbuster film The Lost World: Jurassic Park. Set on Isla Sorna, players take on the role of Anne, the sole survivor of a plane crash who must escape the island while surviving encounters with roaming dinosaurs. The game was ahead of its time, featuring advanced physics, open environments, and interactive objects that aimed to create a realistic survival experience. Players could pick up, throw, and manipulate items freely, and every dinosaur encounter was unscripted, making each playthrough unpredictable. Although Trespasser was praised for its ideas and immersive atmosphere, it was also criticized at launch for technical issues and demanding hardware requirements. Over the years, however, it has gained cult status for its innovation, unique mechanics, and role in shaping the survival genre.
